Qt

'Qt' is a toolkit for software developers. It simplifies the task of writing and maintaining GUI (graphical user interface) applications. It is written in C++ and is fully object-oriented. It is a multi-platform.

Qt/X11 does not require any additional graphical layer above X11. It is highly optimized native code that runs directly on top of the lowest graphical layer Xlib.
