GNU GNAT

GNAT is a free, complete compiler for Ada95, integrated into the GCC compiler system.

Ada is a language for large and complex systems, or for long-term projects where reusable and maintainable code is essential. GNAT now includes GLIDE, an integrated development environment that includes an editor and debugger and supports multiple graphical debuggers. Support for larger projects is enhanced by (on some systems) elimination of command line lengths limits and easier ways to enter a long list of directories into the project file.

As of October 2, 2001 the GNAT sources have been added to the main GCC CVS repository where they are now synchronized almost daily with the internal Ada Core Technologies sources. The 3.15p release referred to below is the last separate release. Please go to http://gcc.gnu.org/ for the most recent release.
