pkpgcounter

'pkpgcounter' parses files and outputs the number of pages needed to print them. It currently recognizes the formats: PostScript (both DSC compliant and binary), PDF, PCL3/4/5, PCLXL (aka PCL6), and ESC/P2 formats. pkpgcounter has been included in the PyKota project since 2003, but is now available separately as well.
