Full description Beep lets you control pitch, duration, and Beep lets you control pitch, duration, and repetitions unlike printf("\a"). It lives inside shell/Perl scripts and allow more granularity than you would have otherwise. It is controlled completely through command line options. It's not complex, but it makes system monitoring (or whatever else it gets hacked onto) that much more informative. s hacked onto) that much more informative.
