| Full description | Email-reminder allows users to define even … Email-reminder allows users to define events that they want to be reminded of by email. Possible events include birthdays, anniversaries and yearly events. Reminders can be sent on the day of the event and a few days beforehand. This program includes a cron job that checks for events and send reminders once a day, and a simple GUI allowing users to edit the reminders they want to receive. Email-reminder requires the following packages: * * Perl (>= 5.6)<br /> * XML::Dom module<br /> * Gtk2 module (>= 2.4)<br /> * Date::Manip module<br /> * Email::Valid module * The anacron package is highly recommended if you leave your computer off at night and want the reminders to be sent once the machine is back up. The SMTP authentication feature needs the following extra packages: * * Authen::SASL<br /> * MIME::Base64<br /> ASL<br /> * MIME::Base64<br /> |
