Full description GLOBAL is a browsing system for C, C++, Ya GLOBAL is a browsing system for C, C++, Yacc and Java source code: it lets you find the locations of function definitions and functions references in source files. It is useful if you want to hack a large project containing many subdirectories, many '#ifdef' and many main() functions. GLOBAL supports the following environments: a shell command line, a Web browser, and both the Emacs and vi editors. Other features include: * ability to locate object references as well as object definitions * allows duplicate objects * can generate a hypertext source tree. * can generate a dynamic index with a CGI program * tag files independent of machine architecture * supports plug-in parsers with its configuration file * supports a compact format to save disk space * supports incremental updating of tag files * treats a source tree containing subdirectories as a logical scope; you can get the relative path of objects from any where within that scope f objects from any where within that scope
