Full description Linux is a portable, monolithic kernel and Linux is a portable, monolithic kernel and a collection of device drivers that can currently runs on hundreds of different computer platforms, including microcontrollers and other embedded systems. When combined with the GNU System it forms the GNU/Linux operating system.
