| Full description | SmartyPants is a free web publishing plug- … SmartyPants is a free web publishing plug-in for Movable Type, Blosxom, and BBEdit that easily translates plain ASCII punctuation characters into ââ¬Åsmartâ⬠typographic punctuation HTML entities. SmartyPants can perform the following transformations: * Straight quotes ( " and ' ) into ââ¬Åcurlyâ⬠quote HTML entities * Backticks-style quotes (``like this'') into ââ¬Åcurlyâ⬠quote HTML entities * Dashes (ââ¬Å--â⬠and ââ¬Å---ââ¬) into en- and em-dash entities * Three consecutive dots (ââ¬Å...ââ¬) into an ellipsis entity (ââ¬Å...ââ¬) into an ellipsis entity |
