The program works in GNU/Linux distributions and on most Unix-like platforms, offering a complete set of widgets suitable for projects ranging from small one-off projects to complete application suites. Bindings for other languages, including C++, Objective C, Guile/Scheme, Perl Python, TOM, Ada95, Free Pascal, and Eiffel have been written as well.
This package provides a set of libraries to create graphical user interfaces, providing, among other things, GDK, a wrapper for low-level windowing functions, and GTK, an advanced widget set.
