Subject Request clarification of GNAT

It is unclear how/if this is related to GNAT GPL by http://libre.adacore.com/libre/

It is unclear how/if this is related to the GNAT-GPS IDE and GCC.

I currently use GCC-4.4 and GNAT-4.4, noticed that GCC can compile ADA but I needed GNAT to run gnatmake in order to to make linking and binding.

Is it correct that if I want to develop ADA one option is to install GCC and GNAT (As I did, and compile in terminal) and one other option is to install GNAT GPL (includes GPS?) from Adacore?
