'rsyslog' is an enhanced syslogd. It suppo … 'rsyslog' is an enhanced syslogd. It supports both MySQL and fully configurable output formats (including large timestamps). It is a fork of the the standard 'sysklogd' package. The project's goal is to provide a more configurable and reliable syslog deamon, "reliable" meaning that it supports reliable transmission modes like TCP or RFC 3195 (syslog-reliable).es like TCP or RFC 3195 (syslog-reliable).
