Full description VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. VNC stands for Virtual Network Computing. It is a remote display system which allows you to view a computing 'desktop' environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures. VNC runs in a client/server model; the distribution provides an Xserver, to which a VNC viewer can connect. The server does not need or support a display; you need a vncviewer to see something.ay; you need a vncviewer to see something.
