  • Awaiting info on https://github.com/bakpakin/Fennel/issues/478 to clarify and understand the steps taken needed for the file style.md and its CC-BY-SA-NC status.
  • Why is the linked tag from MetalMaxMX a repo with 0 stars when the main development repository seems to be bakpakin with 2.3k stars? Mmcmahon (talk) 16:01, 15 April 2024 (EDT)
  • Hello! That's what we are going to focus on the next IRC meeting this Friday. You see, the issue with Fennel is that it has a document called style.md, which goes under the CC-BY-SA-NC which by all accounts is unfree, as a result, we've decided to temporarily link Fennel to a repo I made where I remove both the mentions of style.md and the offending file in the repository. See, style.md is a formatting guide for Lisp-based languages, and it was heavily modified to suit Fennel's needs. Since we do not allow CC-BY-SA-NC content that easily however, we instead opted to ask the author of Fennel (technomancy) that if it can't be removed, then at least that it should be a link but not part of the repository. We should get more info by, as stated, on the next meeting so hopefully the issue can be resolved for once! (My repo is just used as a placeholder for now, I'll put it back to the main one once we've discussed what to do there)
