OpenVAS (previously GNessUs) is a GPL fork of the Nessus security scanner

OpenVAS (previously GNessUs) is a fork of the Nessus security scanner to ensure continued development of the project as free and open source. The fork is based on the current Nessus 2.2.5 packages from GNU/Debian.
