Thank you for helping to improve the Free Software Directory!
This page has not completed review yet.
This submission will now wait until an administrator reviews it and chooses whether to add it to the directory. If you would like to become an admin, then visit the directory mailing list and introduce yourself.
Admins, this may be a request for a new entry. First run some searches for the page. Admins may create the page after making sure that it doesn't already exist under a similar name. (You may also want to edit the part of the URL after "/Entry/", then load that address, to make sure it is concise and doesn't contain strange characters or unwanted spaces.)
Admins, when you are done incorporating any needed changes from this page into a main entry, please edit this page and change the following text from:
|Finished review=No to:
|Finished review=yes. This helps keep submissions organized. (Note that doing this isn't what adds the entry to the directory.)
|Short description||server that provides DAAP and DPAP shares|
|Full description||The dmapd project provides a GObject-based, Open Source implementation of DMAP sharing. Dmapd features support for both DAAP (iTunes) and DPAP (iPhoto), support for realtime transcoding of media formats not natively supported by clients and support for many metadata formats, such as those associated with Ogg Vorbis and MP3 (e.g., ID3). Dmapd runs on Linux and other POSIX operating systems. It has been used on OpenWrt Linux-based systems with as little as 32MB of memory to serve music, video and photograph libraries containing thousands of files.|
