This template displays the alphabetic time zone abbreviation for the one which Boston is under. Currently it should return either EST (default) or EDT.

This template depends on {{LOCALTIMESTAMP}} (which returns the timestamp for the last time the page was rendered, according to the server's local time) and on {{CURRENTTIMESTAMP}} (which does the same but always in UTC+0000).

As long as {{LOCALTIMESTAMP}} is correctly set, then the alphabetic time zone abbreviation should change correctly when the time is due.

For testing purposes, this template accepts only one parameter which can be any thing, for the test to succeed the parameter must be a numeric time zone offset preceded by either + or - whose seconds have been converted to their decimal representation and such offset must be recognized by the template.

If the tests with either the optional parameter or the current timestamps fail to produce a recognized numeric time zone offset, then the default is used with an error message.
