This page gives an explanation to users on the difference between the software we've reviewed and a service offering that software. For any entries where that is a particular concern, you can add the following template in the description, replacing PACKAGE with the name of the package:


This page describes the free/libre program Services which you can install in your own computers. There are also online services which operate by running Services, but we don't recommend that way of using software. The user community can check whether to trust running a free program. There is no basis for trusting a service run by a company or by strangers. You can read more about this issue here:[1]
