Why is Signal under "Replacement for" in the "Multimedia communication" category?

Free Software programs that run on GNU/Linux

This page only seems to list programs that run on Windows. Is there a list of Free Software replacements for programs that run under GNU/Linux too, such as a list comparing only programs, regardless of operating system? There are some items I would like to add.
