Instructions

All translators can submit new translations by creating a new page with the same name of the old one but postfixed with the ISO code of the destination language (ie. PagePage.it); in addition, the new page must end with [[Category:Translations]], which has the effect of showing it inside Category:Translations (of course, later on, the pages will be relocated in specialized subcategories).
Translations must respect the original layout of the page by not introducing structural changes and must not convey new or different meanings than the original text.

Dynamically generated content (including software listings) must not be subject to translation while the static text of any kind should be always translated. Development pages (like Free Software Directory:Participate) are updated too frequently and are mainly used by FSD contributors that already know English, and these pages are not read by regular visitors, so they should not be translated due to the complexity to set up a dedicated translation group for that.

Translations become visible after administrative revision and should be linked from the original text (ideally a link on top) for easy reachability.

Comments

It has been suggested that the translators should be part of the GNU Translators team.

All translations are offered "as is", without implicit or explicit guarantees of any kind.
