|License note=Please note that while MediaWiki as a whole is licensed under the GNU General Public License version 2 or any later version, that the software ships with various other software programs that are independent works and that are licensed under separate terms. All of this software is free software, however, a detailed analysis of the licenses on all of this software has not been done. Please note that the default way that MediaWiki serves JavaScript to users is currently problematic.
