In Oct 2018, MongoDB's "community edition" switched from AGPLv3 to another license making it harder for free software users to depend on it. The source linked in this entry is the last available code base under the AGPLv3. See FerretDB for an alternative.
MongoDB (from "humongous") is a scalable, high-performance, schema-free, document-oriented database.
