According to a note on his Wikipedia user page, George Gesslein II passed away in February 2013 :^( His project's website is still up (http://mathomatic.org/), but its links to Mathomatic's source code are broken. It can still be found elsewhere though. The last version George released was 16.0.5. (Our directory currently refers to version 16.0.0.)
- Debian has source for version 16.0.4
- Fedora has a source RPM for 16.0.5
- mfilpot (mfilpot at gmail dot com) has George's original source package for 16.0.5
I've downloaded mfilpot's copy of 16.0.5 and checked its licensing. The package is in good shape, and I found no licensing problems. The code is LGPLv2.1, and the documentation is GFDLv1.3.
Soooo... I don't really know what to do from here. Suggestions? :^)
