Cf4ocl
The C Framework for OpenCL, cf4ocl, is a cross-platform pure C object-oriented framework for developing and benchmarking OpenCL projects. It aims to:
  • Promote the rapid development of OpenCL host programs in C (with support for C++) and avoid the tedious and error-prone boilerplate code usually required.
  • Assist in the benchmarking of OpenCL events, such as kernel execution and data transfers. Profiling comes for free with cf4ocl.
  • Simplify the analysis of the OpenCL environment and of kernel requirements.
  • Allow for all levels of integration with existing OpenCL code: use as much or as few of cf4ocl required for your project, with full access to the underlying OpenCL objects and functions at all times.

Chafa
Chafa is a command-line utility that converts all kinds of images, including animated GIFs, into ANSI/Unicode character output that can be displayed in a terminal. It is highly configurable, with support for alpha transparency and multiple color modes and color spaces, combining selectable ranges of Unicode characters to produce the desired output. The core functionality is provided by a C library with a public, well-documented API.

Closures
It is a code library written in a single header file that allows to create closures in C. This is possible thanks to the use of assembly code. This allows, among other things, the creation of objects in C.
Cloudgizer
Cloudgizer is a tool for building web applications as Apache modules in C language enhanced with simple markup, with emphasis on performance, small-footprint, and more productive and safer programming in C. It combines the ease of scripting with the power of C, improving the resource utilization for cloud applications. The programmer writes simple markup language mixed with C code, which is then translated entirely into C code and compiled natively as Apache module. The resulting application is fast and takes less memory, as there are no interpreters or virtual machines. Features include easy markups to use MariaDB database, HTML input parameters, cookies, simpler outputting of web pages, files storage and manipulation, encryption, encoding, program execution, web calls, safer and easier string manipulation etc. - the list is too long to place in one sentence. Overall Cloudgizer does a lot of stuff for you that you'd otherwise need to do yourself. A memory garbage collection system and memory overwrite/underwrite detection comes in handy for program stability. The same goes for string and memory handling markups to help write applications that won't crash. Also included is an application packaging system and an automated application installer. This makes rollout of products and release cycle more manageable. Cloudgizer source files have extension .v. Cloudgizer pre-compiler (cld program) will turn your .v files into .c files, ready for compilation as pure C programs. Then, your program will be compiled and linked with Apache web server on RH/Centos systems. It links with Apache as an Apache module in a "prefork" configuration. It does the work of communicating with Apache, and it makes it easier to write high-performance/small-footprint web programs in C. Cloudgizer is not designed to be thread-safe as it works in a "prefork" configuration of Apache. You can also build command-line programs. The same program can serve as both command-line utility and a web program linked with Apache. Cloudgizer works with RedHat/Centos 7 operating system, Apache web server and mariaDB database.
Cuba
The Cuba library offers a choice of four independent routines for multidimensional numerical integration: Vegas, Suave, Divonne, and Cuhre. They work by very different methods, first three are Monte Carlo based. All four have a C/C++, Fortran interface and can integrate vector integrands. Their invocation is very similar, so it is easy to substitute one method by another for cross-checking. For further safeguarding, the output is supplemented by a chi-square probability which quantifies the reliability of the error estimate.
DSSI
DSSI is an API for audio plugins, with particular application for software synthesis plugins with native user interfaces. DSSI is an open specification developed for use in GNU/Linux audio applications, although it is portable to other platforms. It may be thought of as LADSPA-for-instruments, or something comparable to VSTi. This package contains the header file required for compiling hosts and plugins.
Darkvale Technologies Assistant
A program that executes natural language directives without machine learning. Its capabilities are meant to be extended by each user depending on their needs. The interaction takes the form of a dialogue between the assistant and the user. The software also allows the generation of programs from English directives.
DirectFB
'DirectFB' is a thin library that provides developers with hardware graphics acceleration, input device handling and abstraction, an integrated windowing system with support for translucent windows and multiple display layers on top of the framebuffer device. It is a complete hardware abstraction layer with software fallbacks for every graphics operation that is not supported by the underlying hardware.

Elektra
Elektra is a configuration management framework, it mounts configuration files into global keys database creating sort of virtual file system for easier access, changing and locating the configuration parameters. A wide range of plugins is available used to specify format (JSON, INI, XML and others), default settings , validation, etc. Use High-level API to elektrify your application for easier maintenance and generate type-safe configuration access code based on same specification used for validation. The core is the library implemented in C, bindings to another languages are provided.
FLIF
FLIF is a novel lossless image format which outperforms existing image formats in terms of compression ratio. It works well on any kind of image (photographic, line art, computer graphics, etc.) and also supports animations. FLIF images (or animations) can be progressively decoded, which makes the format potentially very suitable for responsive web design. This is the reference implementation of FLIF, which includes a command-line tool (flif) to convert between FLIF and PNG/PNM/PAM, a decoding library (libflif_dec), an encoding library (libflif_enc), some scripts (gif2flif, apng2flif, raw2flif, ...), and a simple image/animation viewer (viewflif).
Factory C
Factory C is Factory C because it uses a factory table that uses a strategic factory method(s) thats the singleton class factory method to the class interface heap for a factory table class. There are 3 levels of OOP in Factory C and thats Virtual, Factory, and Complex. The Complex object uses a runtime object for its interface inside of its own builder table and heap containers for its class interface heap and class information heaps, and runtime objects for its interface registrations. This (Factory C) is for fully dynamic-at-runtime Object-Oriented Programming with no limitations on things like datatypes or multiple inheritance or coupling. As a presentation of hash tables or data structures Factory C uses a Virtual Table, Factory Table, and an Adapter Table. there is a single linked list template you can typename, also a vector and binary search tree (heap). but only the datastructures needed to implement Factory C are included. Also, part or the Object-Orientation of Factory C is that every primitive type has a constructor plus interface as a virtual table object and factory method plus interface heap as a factory table class. The Complex object is created using a small class builder that is implemented in C.
Farstream
The Farstream (formerly Farsight2) project is an effort to create a framework to deal with all known audio/video conferencing protocols. On one side it offers a generic API that makes it possible to write plugins for different streaming protocols, on the other side it offers an API for clients to use those plugins. This package provides Python bindings for Farstream.
Ffmpeg
FFmpeg is a complete solution to record, convert and stream audio and video. Its components include:
  • ffmpeg – Converts one video file format to another and supports grabbing and encoding in real time from a TV card.
  • ffserver – HTTP (RTSP is being developed) multimedia streaming server for live broadcasts that supports time shifting.
  • ffplay – simple media player based on SDL and the ffmpeg libraries
  • ffprobe – a media file prober
  • libavcodec – library containing all FFmpeg audio/video encoders and decoders (most developed from scratch for best performances and high reusability)
  • libavfilter – video and audio filtering library
  • libavformat – library of parsers and generators for all common audio/video formats
  • libavutil – utility library containing functions used by all FFmpeg components
  • libswscale – video scaler and pixel format converter
  • libswresample – audio resampler and sample format converter
  • libpostproc – video post-processing library
Fontconfig
fontconfig is a library for customizing and configuring fonts in a system, providing configuration, enumeration and substitution of fonts to other programs. Applications can use fontconfig in two ways:
  • by querying it for the available fonts on the system, or
  • by querying it for a font matching certain parameters (comprising a pattern) as closely as possible.
To perform font matching, fontconfig stores typesetting information about all of the installed fonts, including the name of the font family, style, weight, dots per inch (DPI), and Unicode coverage. This information is also used to perform font substitution.

Features

fontconfig can:

  • discover new fonts when installed automatically, removing a common source of configuration problems.
  • perform font name substitution, so that appropriate alternative fonts can be selected if fonts are missing.
  • identify the set of fonts required to completely cover a set of languages.
  • have GUI configuration tools built as it uses an XML-based configuration file (though with autodiscovery, we believe this need is minimized).
  • efficiently and quickly find the fonts you need among the set of fonts you have installed, even if you have installed thousands of fonts, while minimizing memory usage.
  • be used in concert with the X Render Extension and FreeType to implement high quality, anti-aliased and subpixel rendered text on a display.

fontconfig does not:

  • render the fonts themselves (this is left to FreeType or other rendering mechanisms)
  • depend on the X Window System in any fashion, so that printer only applications do not have such dependencies
GEOS
'GEOS' is a C++ implementation of the functions and predicates defined in the OpenGIS "Simple Features for SQL" specification. It includes high quality implementations of all important spatial relationships and operations, robust versions of all functions in the dimensionally extended 9 intersection predicate model, and implementations of the operators Buffer(), Union(), and Intersection() and all other SFSQL functions including Area(), Length(), Centroid(), etc.

GCC is the GNU Compiler Collection. It provides compiler front-ends for several languages, including C, C++, Objective-C, Fortran, Ada, and Go. It also includes runtime support libraries for these languages. GCC provides many levels of source code error checking traditionally provided by other tools (such as lint), produces debugging information, and can perform many different optimizations to the resulting object code. GCC supports many different architectures and operating systems.

'gengetopt' takes an easy-to-do description of options and generates a C function that uses the GNU getopt_long(3) function to parse and validate the options. gengetopt is perfect if you don't want to write all the stuff required to call GNU getopt_long(3), or if you have a program and wish it took many options. The generated code works if you use autoconf or automake.
Geocode-glib
Geocode-glib allows you to do geocoding (going from a place name, to a longitude/latitude pair) and reverse geocoding (finding a place name from coordinates) using the Nominatim service. This library should be used in place of Geoclue's D-Bus API for geocoding and reverse geocoding.

GMP is a library for arbitrary precision arithmetic, operating on signed integers, rational numbers and floating point numbers. The precision is only limited by the available memory. The library is highly optimized, with a design focus on execution speed. It is aimed at use in, for example, cryptography and computational algebra.

GnuAE is a GNOME/GTK compliant GUI for designing photovoltaic and wind powered houses with compliance to the National Electrical Code. As GnuAE has a database of components and current average prices, it can help you judge the total cost of a system by experimenting with different options like using a propane or DV fridge, or more or less reserve days or hours of sun. GnuAE is also designed to make it much easier to wire for NEC code compliance without studying all 800 some pages of the NEC specification. Even for an electrician, the interdependencies between calculations is daunting. While DC wiring is much simpler than AC wiring, most off-grid household systems are both. There is even a built in NEC calculator for people that have a good feel for what they are doing, but want to also experiment with differing conduit sizes, parallel wire runs, and voltage drop.

GnuDOS is a set of programs designed to help new users of the GNU system in growing accustomed to the system, particularly users who might be coming from a DOS background. It consists of a file manager, a text editor and a form designer for the console as well as a core library for building similar utilities:
  • The core library (corelib) contains four utilities: Kbd (for keyboard handling), Screen (for screen drawing), Dialogs (for dialog boxes/window drawing), and Strings (for strings functions).
  • The software applications are three: Prime (console file manager), Mino (console text editor), and Fog (console form designer).

GnuTLS is a secure communications library implementing the SSL, TLS and DTLS protocols and technologies around them. It provides a simple C language application programming interface (API) to access the secure communications protocols as well as APIs to parse and write X.509, PKCS #12, and other required structures. The project strives to provide a secure communications back-end, simple to use and integrated with the rest of the base GNU/Linux libraries. A back-end designed to work and be secure out of the box, keeping the TLS and PKI complexity outside the applications.
Gsequencer
Advanced GTK+ Sequencer (AGS) is intended to use for music composition. It features a piano roll, as well a synth, matrix editor, drum machine, soundfont2 player, mixer and an output panel. Further it has LADSPA, DSSI and Lv2 plugin support. It's designed to be highly configurable. You may add effects to its effect chain; and add or remove audio channels/pads. You may set up a fully functional network of engines, thus there is a link editor for linking audio lines. AGS requires a realtime kernel and ALSA support. AGS uses conditional locks to keep several threads in sync that's why you need at least a preemptable kernel. LADSPA support has been added to version 0.4.2 as well export to WAV. Version 0.5.x brings you first concurrent audio tree processing support. Version 0.6.x is dedicated to accessibility. You might control GSequencer by keyboard. As you move to a note it provides you an audible feedback. Version 0.7.x gives you the benefit of providing the libraries libags, libags-thread, libags-server, libags-audio and libgsequencer. It contains for now an automation editor. Open Sound System (OSS4) and JACK Audio Connection Kit support has been added recently. Now you may configure multiple soundcards. GNU Generic Security Service Library implements the GSS-API framework and a Kerberos V5 mechanism (through Shishi). GSS-API and Kerberos V5 is used by network clients and servers to perform authentication, often using the SSH protocol for remote access or SMTP/IMAP/POP3 for email. This package contains also a command line tool for GSS.
GtkDatabox
The GtkDatabox widget (for use with the GTK+ widget set) is used to display large amounts of numerical data in graphical representation. Several sets of data may be shown at one time. You may zoom in and out and navigate via scrollbars. The display of data is rather fast, so you can use the widget for quickly changing data (i.e. an oscilloscope for example) as well. The widget has already been adapted to several scientific projects around the world.
Gzochi
gzochi (/zoʊ-ʧi:/) is a framework for developing massively multiplayer online games. A server container provides services to deployed games, which are written in Guile Scheme, that abstract and simplify some of the most challenging and error-prone aspects of online game development: Concurrency, data persistence, and network communications. A very thin client library can be embedded to provide connectivity for client applications written in any language.
Hashlet
Hashlet is an application with a Command Line Interface (CLI) that controls the Cryptotronix Hashlet. The Cryptotronix Hashlet is open source hardware that implements SHA256, provides a hardware random number generator, and stores 256 bit keys in read and write protected memory. The hardware is designed for a BeagleBone Black but can be uses on an embedded GNU/Linux system that supports the I2C protocol and can supply 3.3 or 5 Volts to the device.
Json-Type
Json-Type is a fully-compliant RFC 8259 and ECMA 404 push parser -- validating UTF8 as per the Unicode Standard 8.0.0 -- and a very efficient on-the-fly type checker of JSON text. Json-Type has a two-tiered structure: the core of its functionality is enclosed in a dynamic library, while the front-end, the main program assembles the variety of use-cases of the library into a convenient and comprehensive command line interface.
KiCad
KiCad is electronic design automation (EDA) software made for designing schematics of electronic circuits and printed circuit boards (PCB). KiCad is developed by the KiCad Developers Team, and features an integrated environment with schematic capture, bill of materials list, PCB layout and much more. KiCad is cross-platform, written with WxWidgets and runs on FreeBSD, GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. A lot of component libraries are available. Also migrating tools for components are available (from other EDA software tools). File formats are plain text and well documented, which is good for CVS or Subversion and to make automated component generation scripts. Multiple languages are supported, such as English, Portuguese, Spanish, Czech, Polish, French, German, and Russian. The 3D PCB viewer use 3D model from Wings3D CAD.
LibGringotts
'libGringotts' is a small, thread-safe C library originally developed for Gringotts. Its purpose is to encapsulate data in an encrypted and compressed file. It uses strong cryptographic algorithms (RIJNDAEL 128/256, SERPENT, TWOFISH, CAST256, SAFER+, LOKI97, and 3DES for encryption, and SHA1 and RIPEMD-160 for hashing) to ensure that data is as safe as possible, and that the user has complete control over all encryption, hashing, and compression algorithms used in the process. It also provides functions for encrypting temporary files and to securely manage memory. It is based upon libmcrypt and mhash, and supports pkgconfig.
LibWURFL
It is a C library used to parse the WURFL file and match the HTTP request to obtain the mobile device capabilities.
Libassh
libassh is a free software library written in C that implements the Secure Shell protocol version 2. It enables writing ssh2 client and server applications using an event based API.

The GNU C Library is the standard C library of the GNU system. It defines the system calls and other basic functionality necessary to write programs in the C language. It handles low-level functionality that communicates with the kernel, such as process and file management, as well as higher-level functionality such as string manipulation or command-line argument handling. In GNU/Linux distributions, the C library works with the Linux kernel to implement the operating system behavior seen by user applications. In GNU Hurd, it works with a microkernel and Hurd servers. The GNU C Library implements much of the POSIX.1 functionality in the GNU system, using configurations i[4567]86-*-gnu. The current Hurd support requires out-of-tree patches that will eventually be incorporated into an official GNU C Library release. It is one of the most important components of the GNU operating system and its variants GNU/Linux. It is used by almost all C programs and provides the most essential program interface.
Libcomcom
Spawn an OS command with given input and receive its output. The main feature of this library is deadlock avoidance. (Deadlock in this case is when your program can't write to the input of another program because of waiting for its output which does not happen because of no input, so a vicious circle leading to infinite waiting time.) Libconfini
libconfini is a simple INI parsing library with the ability to read disabled entries (i.e., valid entries nested in comments). libconfini does not store the data read from an INI file, but rather dispatches it, formatted, to a custom listener. The code is written in C (C99) and does not depend on any particular library, except for the C standard libraries stdio.h, stdlib.h and stdint.h.

GNU Libdbh is a small library to create and manage 64-bit disk based hash tables. Libdbh is quite similar to GNU gdbm, but is intended for increased performance when the number of records in your database is in the millions range or above.
Libexpat
This is Expat, a C library for parsing XML, started by James Clark in 1997. Expat is a stream-oriented XML parser. This means that you register handlers with the parser before starting the parse. These handlers are called when the parser discovers the associated structures in the document being parsed. A start tag is an example of the kind of structures for which you may register handlers.

Libgee
Libgee provides the following interfaces: * Traversable o Iterable + Collection # List * BidirList # Set * SortedSet o BidirSortedSet # MultiSet # Queue * Deque + Map # SortedMap * BidirSortedMap o Iterator + BidirIterator # BidirListIterator + ListIterator # BidirListIterator * MultiMap * Future The ArrayList, ArrauQueue, ConcurrentLinkedList, ConcurrentSet, HashSet, HashMap, HashMultiSet, HashMultiMap, LinkedList, PriorityQueue, TreeSet, TreeMap, TreeMultiSet, and TreeMultiMap classes provide a reasonable sample implementation of those interfaces. In addition, a set of abstract classes are provided to ease the implementation of new collections. Around that, the API provide means to retrieve read-only views, efficient sort algorithms, simple, bi-directional or index-based mutable iterators depending on the collection type. Libgee is written in Vala and can be used like any GObject-based C library. It's planned to provide bindings for further languages.

Libiconv converts from one character encoding to another through Unicode conversion (see Web page for full list of supported encodings). It has also limited support for transliteration, i.e. when a character cannot be represented in the target character set, it is approximated through one or several similar looking characters. It is useful if your application needs to support multiple character encodings, but that support lacks from your system.
Libinstpatch
libInstPatch stands for lib-Instrument-Patch and is a library for processing digital sample based MIDI instrument "patch" files. The types of files libInstPatch supports are used for creating instrument sounds for wavetable synthesis. This library provides an object framework (based on GObject) to load patch files into, which can then be edited, converted, compressed and saved. More information can be found on the Project Swami website http://swamiproject.org This package contains the documentation for libinstpatch1 in /usr/share/gtk-doc/html/libinstpatch.
Libjpeg-turbo
libjpeg-turbo is a fork of libjpeg that uses SIMD instructions (MMX, SSE2, AVX2, Neon, AltiVec) to accelerate baseline JPEG compression and decompression on x86, x86-64, Arm, and PowerPC systems, as well as progressive JPEG compression on x86 and x86-64 systems. On such systems, libjpeg-turbo is generally 2-6x as fast as libjpeg, all else being equal. On other types of systems, libjpeg-turbo can still outperform libjpeg by a significant amount, by virtue of its highly-optimized Huffman coding routines. In many cases, the performance of libjpeg-turbo rivals that of proprietary high-speed JPEG codecs. libjpeg-turbo implements both the traditional libjpeg API as well as the less powerful but more straightforward TurboJPEG API. libjpeg-turbo also features colorspace extensions that allow it to compress from/decompress to 32-bit and big-endian pixel buffers (RGBX, XBGR, etc.), as well as a full-featured Java interface. libjpeg-turbo was originally based on libjpeg/SIMD, an MMX-accelerated derivative of libjpeg v6b developed by Miyasaka Masaru. The TigerVNC and VirtualGL projects made numerous enhancements to the codec in 2009, and in early 2010, libjpeg-turbo spun off into an independent project, with the goal of making high-speed JPEG compression/decompression technology available to a broader range of users and developers.
Libmicrohttpd
Libmicrohttpd is a small, embeddable HTTP server implemented as a C library. It makes it easy to run an HTTP server as part of another application. The library is fully HTTP 1.1 compliant. It can listen on multiple ports, supports four different threading models, and supports IPv6. It also features security features such as basic and digest authentication and support for SSL3 and TLS.

LibreDWG is a free C library to read and write DWG files. This program is part of the GNU project, released under the aegis of GNU. It is licensed under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3 (or at you option any later version). DWG is a file format created in the 70's for the emerging CAD applications. Currently it is the native file format of AutoCAD, a proprietary CAD program developed by AutoDesk. LibreDWG is a fork from LibDWG due to its usage of Esperanto, which we think is not the best strategy for a free software project which aims to get lots of contributors. LibreDWG is written in English. Among the example applications we wrote using LibreDWG is an generic reader to some formats, a writer from some formats, a rewriter, i.e saveas tool, and some initial SVG and PS conversion. Currently LibreDWG can reliably read r13-r2018 DWG and write DXF formats, and can write r13-r2000 DWG formats. Work on pre-r13 is making good progress. DXF reading is also in progress.
Librsb
librsb is a library for sparse matrix computations featuring the Recursive Sparse Blocks (RSB) matrix format. This format allows cache efficient and multi-threaded (that is, shared memory parallel) operations on large sparse matrices. The most common operations necessary to iterative solvers are available, e.g.: matrix-vector multiplication, triangular solution, rows/columns scaling, diagonal extraction / setting, blocks extraction, norm computation, formats conversion. The RSB format is especially well suited for symmetric and transposed multiplication variants. On these variants, librsb has been found to be faster than Intel MKL's implementation for CSR. Most numerical kernels code is auto generated, and the supported numerical types can be chosen by the user at build time. librsb implements the Sparse BLAS standard, as specified in the BLAS Forum documents.

Libslack
Libslack is a library of general utilities designed to make UNIX/C programming a bit easier on the eye. It was originally implemented as part of the daemon program. It is a small library with lots of functionality and is accurately documented and thoroughly tested. Good library naming conventions are not rigorously observed on the principle that common operations should always be easy to write and code should always be easy to read.

A standalone C/C++ function lib for rasterizing 2-D vector graphics. The program can draw 2-D vector graphics primitives, including wide polygonal line and circular and elliptical arcs, onto a user-supplied matrix of pixels. Sophisticated line styles, such as multicolored dashing patterns, can be specified. There is also support for filling and texturing polygons. The program is based on the vector graphics code found in most X windows system servers, but despite its origins, libxmi is completely decoupled from X11. It draws vector graphics onto a user-supplied matrix of pixels, not onto an on-screen window, and uses its own two-stage graphics pipeline.

Link Grammar
The Link Grammar Parser is a syntactic parser of English, based on link grammar, an original theory of English syntax. The system assigns to a sentence a syntactic structure, which consists of a set of labeled links connecting pairs of words. The parser also produces a "constituent" representation of a sentence (showing noun phrases, verb phrases, etc.). The parser has a dictionary of about 60000 word forms. It covers a range of syntactic constructions, including many rare and idiomatic ones. The parser skips over the portions of the sentence that it cannot understand, and assigns some structure to the rest of the sentence. It can handle unknown vocabulary, and makes intelligent guesses from context and spelling about the syntactic categories of unknown words. It understands capitalization, numerical expressions, and various punctuation symbols.

Mini-XML
Mini-XML is a small XML library that you can use to read and write XML and XML-like data files in your application without requiring large non-standard libraries. Mini-XML only requires an ANSI C compatible compiler (GCC works, as do most vendors' ANSI C compilers) and a 'make' program. Mini-XML supports reading of UTF-8 and UTF-16 and writing of UTF-8 encoded XML files and strings. Data is stored in a linked-list tree structure, preserving the XML data hierarchy, and arbitrary element names, attributes, and attribute values are supported with no preset limits, just available memory.
Mozjpeg
This library aims to speed up loading times of webpages by achieving a reduction in file size and therefore transmission time through improvement of coding efficiency while retaining image quality. To achieve this, it uses more processing power for the encoding (asymmetry) while retaining full compatibility with the JPEG standard and requiring no changes on the decoder side. The techniques MozJPEG uses to achieve high compression include optimising Huffman trees, using progressive coding to optimally split the spectrum of DCT coefficients into separate scans, and through the use of trellis quantisation. Additionally, the presets are aggressively tuned towards the minimisation of file sizes. MozJPEG is a fork of libjpeg-turbo. MozJPEG is compatible with the libjpeg API and ABI. It is intended to be a drop-in replacement for libjpeg. MozJPEG is a strict superset of libjpeg-turbo's functionality. All MozJPEG's improvements can be disabled at run time, and in that case it behaves exactly like libjpeg-turbo. Besides libjpeg-turbo, MozJPEG also builds upon jpegcrush, a Perl script by Loren Merritt. An internet application of this tool is available at https://mozjpeg.com/.

MPC is a complex floating-point library with exact rounding. It is based on the GNU MPFR floating-point library, which is itself based on the GNU MP library. This is a C library for the arithmetic of complex numbers with arbitrarily high precision and correct rounding of the result. It extends the principles of the IEEE-754 standard for fixed precision real floating point numbers to complex numbers, providing well-defined semantics for every operation. At the same time, speed of operation at high precision is a major design goal.

Nbworks
nbworks is an implementation of NetBIOS, itself an incarnation of zeroconf networking. NetBIOS is an API that allows applications to find each other over a network and exchange information. nbworks consists of a deamon and a library. The daemon handles the peer discovery and parts of the serverside for information exchange. The library is linked into applications wishing to use NetBIOS and implements the rest of the NetBIOS functionality. The API that nbworks exports is meant to imitate the POSIX socket interface as closely as possible to enable easy usage by both experienced and novice programmers.

Nettle is a cryptographic library designed to fit any context: in crypto toolkits for object-oriented languages, in applications like LSH or GnuPG, or even in kernel space. Users need to keep track of available algorithms and their properties and variants. The algorithm selection process is dictated by the protocol you want to implement. Also, requirements of applications differ, so an API that fits one application well may be useless for another (which is why so many different cryptographic libraries exist). Nettle avoids this problem by doing one thing, the low-level crypto stuff, and providing a simple but general interface to it. In particular, it doesn't do algorithm selection, memory allocation, or any I/O. However, users can build application- and context-specific interfaces on top of Nettle and share code, testcases, benchmarks, documentation, etc.

Otus Lisp (Ol in short) is a purely functional dialect of Lisp. It implements an extended subset of R5RS Scheme including, but not limited to, some of the SRFIs. It's tiny(42kb), embeddable and crossplatform; can run in own sandbox; provides a portable, highlevel way for calling the code written in another languages. 'Pth' is a portable library that provides non-preemptive priority-based scheduling for multiple threads of execution inside event-driven applications. Threads run in the same address space on the server application, but each one has its own individual program-counter, run-time stack, signal mask and errno variable. A priority- and event-based non-preemptive scheduler manages the threads; this gives better portability and run-time performance than preemptive scheduling. The event facility lets threads wait until various events occur, including pending I/O on filedescriptors, asynchronous signals, elapsed timers, pending I/O on message ports, thread and process termination, and customized call back functions.
RSPLIB
RSPLIB is the free software implementation of the IETF Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool) architecture, a novel framework for pool and session management. The Reliable Server Pooling (RSerPool) architecture (defined by RFC 5351 to RFC 5356) is an overlay network framework to provide server replication and session failover capabilities to its applications. Server redundancy leads to load distribution and load balancing, which are also covered by RSerPool. But in strong contrast to other solutions in the area of cloud and high-performance computing, the fundamental property of RSerPool is to be "lightweight", i.e. it can also be used on devices providing only meagre memory and CPU resources (e.g. embedded systems like telecommunications equipment or routers).

Reproc
What is reproc? reproc (Redirected Process) is a cross-platform C/C++ library that simplifies starting, stopping and communicating with external programs. The main use case is executing command line applications directly from C or C++ code and retrieving their output. reproc consists out of two libraries: reproc and reproc++. reproc is a C99 library that contains the actual code for working with external programs. reproc++ depends on reproc and adapts its API to an idiomatic C++11 API. It also adds a few extras that simplify working with external programs from C++. Features Start any program directly from C or C++ code. Communicate with a program via its standard streams. Wait for a program to exit or forcefully stop it yourself. When forcefully stopping a process you can either allow the process to clean up its resources or stop it immediately. The core library (reproc) is written in C99. An optional C++11 wrapper library (reproc++) with extra features is available for use in C++ applications. Multiple installation methods. Either build reproc as part of your project or use a system installed version of reproc.

SDL is a library that allows you portable low-level access to a video framebuffer, audio output, mouse, and keyboard. With SDL, it is easy to write portable games for various operating systems.
Safeheap
Run time utility to detect buffer overrun and underrun in a C/C++ programs. Aborts the program as soon as a memory corruption is detected and saves the backtrace information in a log file for later debugging. Useful tool to fix hard and frustrating memory corruption bugs.
Sc
The Edge Integration Station Controller (sc) is a program intrepreter for running applications that interface with and control Semiconductor Manufacturing equipment. It connects to equipment supporting GEM/SECS, HSMS, and serial protocols. Sc uses *NIX sockets and file sockets as its communication messaging bus.
Sctplib
The SCTPLIB library is a prototype implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), a message-oriented reliable transport protocol that supports multi-homing, and multiple message streams multiplexed within an SCTP connection (also named association). SCTP is described in RFC 4960. See https://www.uni-due.de/~be0001/sctplib/ for details. The API of the library is modeled after Section 10 of RFC 4960, and most parameters and functions should be self-explanatory to the user familiar with this document. In addition to these interface functions between an Upper Layer Protocol (ULP) and an SCTP instance, the library also provides a number of helper functions that can be used to manage callbacks and timers, as well as UDP sockets for simple IPC. Furthermore, SCTPLIB provides support for UDP encapsulation, making it possible to co-exist with kernel SCTP implementations.

Termcap provides a library for using terminals in programs not depending on the terminal type, and a database of known terminal types. New programs doing character-oriented terminal displays should use ncurses instead. Most of this package is also distributed with GNU Emacs(now only dos), but it is available in this separate distribution to make it easier to install as -ltermcap. However, use of termcap is discouraged. Termcap is being phased out in favor of the terminfo-based ncurses library, which contains an emulation of the termcap library routines in addition to an excellent curses implementation.
The Home2Ls
The Home2L [houmtu:l] suite is a framework, library and set of tools for automation in private smart homes. The *Home2L Resources* library allows to integrate and manage sensors, actors or services of any kind efficiently and precisely. Automation rules are typically written in Python. The *Home2L Brownies* subproject allows to integrate cheap 8-bit microcontrollers with do-it-yourself sensor or actor hardware. The *Home2L WallClock* is a lightweight, unobtrusive and portable user interface, including an interactive floor plan view, an MPD-based music player, and a SIP-based phone client for door phones and inter-room communication.
Uzbl
Uzbl follows the UNIX philosophy - "Write programs that do one thing and do it well. Write programs to work together. Write programs to handle text streams, because that is a universal interface." Uzbl comes in different flavors.

Vely
Vely is a free open source framework for rapid building of server-side applications. Its goal is maximum performance and simplicity. Vely is well-suited for both web development and command-line applications. It works by generating C code from statements embedded in C code. Run Hello World in minutes.
Wireguard
WireGuard is a virtual private network software. It is built in to the Linux (and linux-libre) kernel by default. It intends to be faster and simpler than IPSec and OpenVPN. While initially released for the Linux kernel, it is now a cross-platform project. Some users consider WireGuard to already be the most secure and easiest to use among all of the VPN solutions.
Wkhtmltopdf
wkhtmltodpf is a utility for converting local or remote web pages to image or PDF format. This can be done without access to a desktop environment, for example from the command line on a remote server. A C library implementation (libwkthmltox) is also available.
Wograld
Wograld is a 2d 45 degree isometric multi-player online rpg. It is in development with many gameplay features not yet implemented. It is a fork of crossfire with mostly redone graphics and some gameplay changes to make it more fun and newbie friendly.
WolfCrypt
wolfCrypt is a highly configurable cryptographic library designed for embedded systems and IoT Devices. wolfCrypt is FIPS certified on multiple operating systems, and wolfSSL is always adding more OS's to that list.
Wolfssl
wolfSSL is an embedded SSL/TLS software library designed for resource constrained environments. wolfSSL has implemented the Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3 only) and Transport Layer Security (TLSv1,TLSv1.1, TLSv1.2, and TLSv1.3). wolfSSL offers a highly configurable list of features. Dependant upon functionality and speed requirements, wolfSSL can take up as little as 21k on your device. wolfSSL's wolfCrypt module is FIPS certified if you need a FIPS solution.
Xorn
Xorn is a library to read and write gEDA files, allowing python scripts and GUI's to work on the same objects. Xorn is designed to work with Xi but can be integrated with any application that works on schematics. There is also a command-line utility with two sub-commands:
  • xorn extract – extract embedded symbols or pixmaps from a schematic
  • xorn find-symbol-by-pinout – pretty much self-explaining
Zbar
ZBar is a software suite for reading bar codes from various sources, such as video streams, image files and raw intensity sensors. It supports many popular symbologies (types of bar codes) including EAN-13/UPC-A, UPC-E, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, Interleaved 2 of 5 and QR Code. The flexible, layered implementation facilitates bar code scanning and decoding for any application: use it stand-alone with the included GUI and command line programs, easily integrate a bar code scanning widget into your Qt, GTK+ or PyGTK GUI application, leverage one of the script or programming interfaces (Python, Perl, C++) ...all the way down to a streamlined C library suitable for embedded use.
ZerSol
The purpose of the ZerSol C++ library is the finding all the zeros of an analytic function that are contained in a given rectangular region of a complex plane. It is based on the argument principle and recursive subdivisions of the region coupled with the Newton's iterations at the final stage of the search. The ZerSol library assumes that evaluation of the function is expensive and tries to minimize the number of the function calls by using efficient algorithms and special data structures. Although easy to use, the library provides an extensive set of interface functions for the search customization and detailed diagnostic messages in case of failures. It is supplied with a set of test cases and bindings for C and Fortran users. The library is thoroughly tested on many hard problems and demonstrates a good performance.
