One of the requirements to be listed on the Directory is that "If a software program runs on proprietary operating system, then the version of the program that runs on free software operating system should be as good or better." But it seems from the description that this is not the case, and that some functionality is only available for a proprietary OS. Could you maybe explain the situation?


Reply to Donaldr3: They are the same codebase. The non-Debian version would be the same as using on an Arch or CentOS system. Not sure how to make that "better," exactly. Please elaborate.
