Apache Tomcat Connectors
https://tomcat.apache.org/connectors-doc/
Apache 2 connector for the Tomcat Java servlet engine
The Apache Tomcat Connector allows to connect Tomcat to an Apache httpd web server.
This package contains an Apache httpd module (mod_jk) that allows httpd to communicate with Apache Tomcat instances over the AJP protocol, in forwarding requests from Apache to Tomcat using the AJP 1.3 or 1.4 protocol. It can either talk to Tomcat on the local machine or to a remote engine using TCP.
Note that JK is the project covering web-servers to Tomcat connectors, whereas mod_jk is the Apache module developed in JK.
