:: Thanks for looking into this. I'm afraid that we can't promote a system that relies in part upon a non-free program, even if the generated code is human-editable. If there were a free program that does this, or we could link to the file format alone, then I think that would be okay, but I'm not sure if a file format alone is enough to create an entry on the FSD. ::: I appreciate that this is not a straightforward case, Sudoman. The file format is fully documented, and the EXE even offers an 'Edit' button allowing it to be edited by hand. It is not a complex format, and many of my earliest examples were actually created by-hand. My reasoning here was that the designer is orders of magnitude more complex than the generated code, or the supporting scripts and CSS. The type of people who would want to publish such diagrams in their Web pages would not go near the complexity of the designer. Once HTML/SVG code has been generated then it is completely independent of the designer, and may be changed or incorporated into other frameworks with no restriction. Aren't there cases similar to this already, such as report designers? I would love to offer-up this tool via FSF, and would welcome any suggestions, but if the kit involved all the source the designer then it would simply kill the entry stone-dead; no user would go near it. --ACProctor (talk) 05:41, 17 November 2018 (EST)

If your opinion is still the same then I understand. However, since I have no active FSD entries, and I do not like to leave dormant accounts anywhere, can you direct me to the link to delete my account? I'm afraid that I have searched but cannot see one.--ACProctor (talk) 05:58, 17 November 2018 (EST)

free software definition

Hello ACProctor, the program you added to the directory appears to be non-free software. Please read the free software definition before adding programs to the directory. Thanks! -- Sudoman (talk) 10:33, 8 November 2018 (EST)

I have read definition and disagree with your findings, Sudoman. I have made a case on your talk page for how it conforms to the definition. --ACProctor (talk) 09:46, 16 November 2018 (EST)
Thanks for looking into this. I'm afraid that we can't promote a system that relies in part upon a non-free program, even if the generated code is human-editable. If there were a free program that does this, or we could link to the file format alone, then I think that would be okay, but I'm not sure if a file format alone is enough to create an entry on the FSD. Thanks! -- Sudoman (talk) 14:51, 16 November 2018 (EST)
I appreciate that this is not a straightforward case, Sudoman.
