Unfortunately I can not contribute to the FSD anymore because off a bug!

  • This page I will edit though.
Hi Bendikker, what is the bug you are talking about?
Did you report the bug in the newsletter? May I help you somehow? --LorenzoAncora (talk) 07:14, 13 September 2019 (EDT)
Yu keep bugging me, so I can nt contribute anymore. --Bendikker (talk) 07:46, 13 September 2019 (EDT)
It was you who wrote on my discussion page, so you can't be surprised if you get an answer and if I come to observe your account, also because you raised some doubts: generally, those in good faith don't need to hide public messages. I do not take any decision myself, I just apply the rules. As I helped you, I have to make sure that the freedom of other users is not compromised either: your freedom ends where that of others begins. These rules are nothing new, they are a practice of all wikis (Wikipedia is the leading example) so learning to respect them is very important. Now I'll leave you the second and last notification, please read it carefully:

I've noticed that yesterday you deleted a message from Mr. McMahon, a bureaucrat of the Free Software Directory. The message was a simple polite question, why did you delete it? Also, why then did you try to move/decontextualize the administrative notification I left you?
The discussion page is not a personal page and you cannot remove other users' contributions, the same is true for all other discussion pages. Your personal page is solely and exclusively the one you find at this address.
If you want you can move each discussion in bulk (without changing the messages, message order or title) and archive the discussions in a subpage when the page exceeds 32KiB in size.
User messages must not be edited/deleted unless they are vandalism or contain personal information.
2° WARNING: stop editing or deleting the messages left by other users.

If you continue to delete or modify user messages, a bureaucrat or an admin may decide to block your account instead of rolling back. I know very well that you are able to behave properly like all other users, I want to trust you.
Best regards, --LorenzoAncora (talk) 11:43, 13 September 2019 (EDT)

COMMENTS, WILL BE REMOVED

Hi Bendikker, you cannot do that, even if you write it in caps. As previously stated, no user can remove their own or other users' comments from their discussion page, unless they are vandalism or personal data. If you do, the administrators will cancel your changes. "History cannot be rewritten" :-)
For security reasons, you must allow users to write to you without their messages being altered and they must do the same with you. --LorenzoAncora (talk) 07:21, 13 September 2019 (EDT)

Gnuzilla: Why didn't you move the page?

You redirected the page https://directory.fsf.org/wiki?title=IceCat&diff=75283&oldid=75096 instead of moving it and leaving a redirect. That screws up the revision history so why did you do that? --David Hedlund (talk) 10:24, 9 April 2019 (EDT)

You only make it worse when you removed this ongoing discussion. Try to think of your trust in our community. Can you please try to answer my question this time instead? --David Hedlund (talk) 10:02, 25 January 2020 (EST)
I restored the page: https://directory.fsf.org/wiki?title=Gnuzilla&diff=79084&oldid=75283. I've spent over 1000 hours on IceCat so I want my history revision to be displayed on the Gnuzilla page so I can keep track of my work. --David Hedlund (talk) 01:16, 1 February 2020 (EST)
Have you cut/pasted the content from other pages with relevant revision history? --David Hedlund (talk) 01:55, 1 February 2020 (EST)
Probably there where 2 entries I wanted to combine. All relevant entries where linked to it. I dont think the extension blocks under the entry are complete anymore. (also emacs) As what I remember. I dont know how these are controlled. Dont think a non admin can edit these. The other deletion part (discussion) was an accident, I was not aware, I must have checked but overseen it. I think there were some (2-3) more not so important entries, that I copied. Later I learned that I could move the original then free the redirect. Cleanlinks I have cleaned. Because it had not the effect I hoped. And the problem is that it shows up in searching the directory. --Bendikker (talk) 18:49, 21 March 2020 (EDT)
Thank you for letting me know that the earlier deleted text was a mistake albeit I suspect that you deleted it intentionally because you deleted the conversaion with LorenzoAncora as well. How do you explain that? --David Hedlund (talk) 21:48, 21 March 2020 (EDT)
I'm not going to argue about my own talk page. I want to delete whatever i want. I'm not gonna edit entries and license entries anymore if I can not control my own talk page.--Bendikker (talk) 06:13, 22 March 2020 (EDT)
I can set up a dedicated page for discussions if you want. What do you think about that? --David Hedlund (talk) 06:22, 22 March 2020 (EDT)
I dont like discussions. --Bendikker (talk) 06:27, 22 March 2020 (EDT)
I just talked with the FSF, we now use wikipedia's dispute resolution. --David Hedlund (talk) 19:36, 23 March 2020 (EDT)

cleanlinksgnusoftware

User_talk:Bendikker/cleanlinksgnusoftware is referenced in Free_Software_Directory:Backlog_active#GNU_packages_2 but you deleted the page without any explanation. Have you merged the project to some other link? --David Hedlund (talk) 14:09, 2 February 2020 (EST)

Hi! Why exactly do you claim the entries you list above are NOT FREE? --Mviinama (talk) 11:28, 22 March 2020 (EDT)
