The Verish program is a tool for checking proofs written in the Verish language, and facilitating the development of proofs.
The Verish language is equivalent to the standard language used for automated reasoning checking, (usually known as Lower Predicate Calculus, LPC, or First Order Predicate Calculus), with the addition of built-in frameworks for defining and using abbreviations, and organizing proofs as applications of methods, but the grammar of LPC has been rearranged so that it flows more like a natural language, and only ASCII symbols are used. The aim is that Verish should be a pleasure to work with.
Besides identifying any errors of reasoning in proofs in Verish, the Verish program can automatically add Javascript markup as in the knowledge base pages on the Verish website http://verish.info, which makes proofs much more readable and accessible. (You see the result of a proof, click on the method to see the main steps in the proof, then click on further methods to see finer details if you wish to, and so on.)
