The Apache OpenOffice.org extensions repository offers add-ons, dictionaries and other packages to extend OpenOffice.org with additional features. While the OpenOffice.org application is free software, the Apache OpenOffice.org extensions repository lists proprietary extensions as well as free software ones. Most extensions work with both LibreOffice and OpenOffice.org applications. This is the repository that the OpenOffice.org program uses by default.

The LibreOffice extensions repository only includes extensions published using free software licenses. This is the repository that the LibreOffice program uses by default.

The free software listing below is maintained by contributors to the Free Software Directory wiki. This listing is independent of the LibreOffice and the Apache OpenOffice.org extensions repository listings.

Compose Special Characters	Extension for Writer and Calc. It lets you type two or three characters and use a keyboard shortcut to convert them into a single accented or special character. (Note: Whole package is under LGPLv2.1 -- however, all the files with individual license notices (modCode, modCustomConstants), are under LGPLv2.1 or later)
CompPad	Extension for performing units-aware engineering calculations within a Writer document.
Convert Text To Number	Converts text-cells in Calc with numbers and dates, to real numbers and dates.
COOoder	Syntax highlighting for OpenOffice
Creative Commons Licensing	Provides the ability to select and embed a Creative Commons license in Writer, Calc, Impress and Draw documents. It supports searching and adding free to use images from Flickr, Open Clip Art and Wikimedia Commons. Note that this is a test version and may cause problems.
CropOOo	Crop images in Draw or Impress
DataForm	This extension generates a data input form in Calc, similar to the Data/Form feature in Excel.
Drawing Tags	Tag drawings with references, titles, descriptions and links. An OpenOffice Write document is generated from the drawing.
Dutch Dictionary	Dutch dictionary and thesaurus.
English New Zealand Dictionary	New Zealand English dictionary and thesaurus.

German Supplemental Dictionary	A German supplementary dictionary containing mostly scientific/technical terms

iMath	This extension enables numeric and symbolic calculations with formulas in a Writer document

Sun PDF Importer	The PDF Import Extension allows you to import and modify PDF documents. Best results with 100% layout accuracy can be achieved with the "PDF/ODF hybrid file" format, which this extension also enables. A hybrid PDF/ODF file is a PDF file that contains an embedded ODF source file. Hybrid PDF/ODF files will be opened in OpenOffice.org as an ODF file without any layout changes.
