- Imposter is free software clone of a nonfree server. However, it is used exclusively with nonfree clients. FSF will need to provide some policy around these kinds of entries. Craigt (talk) 14:33, 26 January 2024 (EST)
- I think a free game client would not be a requirement to run the server, so this should be free software within the confines of the FSD rules. A client is required to make it useful at this time, but not a requirement to operate it. A free software server is one of the most important steps to creating a completely free software alternative. Since a server was created, a free client might be more likely to be created or alternatives like among-sus (who already have a server component) might benefit.
