GCMD is similar to [[Midnight Commander]] in text mode, where you work with two directories at the same time and switch between them with the TAB-key. The program can currently perform most common file operations such as copy, move, delete, chown and chmod and so on. It can also detect changes to files caused by other programs and update the views without the need for the user to manually reload. The program also supports Copy & Paste as well as Drag & Drop. | GCMD is similar to [[Midnight Commander]] in text mode, where you work with two directories at the same time and switch between them with the TAB-key. Graphical file manager
GNOME Commander is a classical two panel file manager inspired by the Midnight Commander console file manager. This package aims to fulfill the demands of more advanced users who like to focus on file management, their work through special applications and running smart commands.
It is really efficient for tasks like selecting a few files from a folder with many files and moving or copying them into another folder.
GNOME Commander supports mounting network folders using SFTP, FTP, Samba and Webdav. You can also quickly mount local files and folders.
