'rwdschedule' is a small event database program that uses flat files. It can list events, store events, and edit, rename, and delete events. FTP can be used to sync events with multiple systems. Context help is available on some screens. It should run without changes on all platforms. It is an rwdtinker program and can take additional plugins.
