GNU General Public License, version 3.0 or later

Is it possible to claim here it is licensed GPL 3+? Source Guix System. Genium (talk) 09:25, 12 April 2020 (EDT)

Maybe add all gpl v2, v3 and v3+? I don't know how this should be handled, just a suggestion. (as per Mviinama (talk) 09:45, 12 April 2020 (EDT)
Done. Maybe you could ask the maintainer John Ralls for feedback and clarification? Genium (talk) 10:08, 12 April 2020 (EDT)
Looks good to me. What exactly needs clarification? Mviinama (talk) 10:16, 12 April 2020 (EDT)
If by agreement of all authors, GnuCash is now licensed under the GNU General Public License Version 3 or later… Perhaps Guix already asked the question. If so, it could be suggested to GNUCash maintainers to upgrade the license document as they do on December 29, 2013? Genium (talk) 10:49, 12 April 2020 (EDT)
That would make life harder for coders using v2 or public domain or permissive licenses themselves. Also it might be non-trivial to get the 'agreement of all authors'. I think perhaps we should rather ask the Guix people why they say it's v3+ when reality seems more complex. Mviinama (talk) 01:45, 13 April 2020 (EDT)
Sorry to break in, but this is somewhat funny (LICENSE drama): --Bendikker (talk) 10:08, 13 April 2020 (EDT)
These have files under gpl2 or gpl3: Josh Sled <> and gnumeric --Bendikker (talk) 11:02, 13 April 2020 (EDT)
I think because of guile-json is needed to build, gnucash is gpl3only --Bendikker (talk) 11:35, 13 April 2020 (EDT)

People could need to copy/paste the URL of the website as stated by the Guix System… The canonical GNU URL is available on top of the page : This is a GNU package:gnucash Genium (talk) 09:50, 12 April 2020 (EDT)
