'Frei0r' is a minimalistic plugin API for video sources and filters. It is meant as an API for the most common video effects: simple filters or sources that can be controlled by parameters, and to solve recurring reimplementation or adaptation issue of standard effects. It is not meant as a generic API for all kinds of video applications, nor as a competing standard to more ambitious efforts. There is no support for special areas like non linear editors, hardware accelerated shader effects, and high precision video processing. Current effects include Invert0r (inverts the colors of the input), preDistort0r (distorts an image in an oldschool plasma way), preFlippo (flips the image in x/y planes), TehRoxx0r (a video wall-like effect), Bw0r (turns images black and white), and Pixeliz0r (computes average colors of blocks and writes them to output frame).
