Xapian

An effective search engine library

Xapian allows developers to add advanced indexing and search facilities to their own applications. It features Unicode 9.0 support, ranked searching, multiple weighting models, relevance feedback, phrase and proximity searching, structured boolean search operators, snowball stemmers, wildcard searching, synonyms, spelling corrections, faceted search, and simultaneous update and searching. It can handle large database files with ease.

Projects known to use Xapian include ikiwiki, kiwix, notmuch, mu, sup, and others.
