- Aletheia
- In short, Aletheia is software for getting science published and into the hands of everyone, for free. It's a decentralised and distributed database used as a publishing platform for scientific research. So, Aletheia is software. But software without people is nothing. To comprehensively answer the question what is Aletheia, Aletheia is software surrounded by a community of people who want to change the world through open access to scientific knowledge. For a more in depth explanation, Aletheia is an Ethereum Blockchain application utilising IPFS for decentralised storage that anyone can upload documents to, download documents from, that also handles the academic peer review process. The application runs on individual PCs, all forming part of the IPFS database. This gives us an open source platform that cannot be bought out by the large publishers (and any derivitive works must also be open source) that should also be hard to take down due to the database being spread across the globe in multiple legal jurisdictions. Aletheia is designed to be a resilient platform run transparently by the community, not some black box corporation or editorial board, meaning all users can see the decisions Aletheia is making and have a stake in that decision making process if they so desire. By this nature, Aletheia is decentralised, it has no key person risk. Should the core group who invented Aletheia dissapear Aletheia won't cease to exist, it will continue to be run by the community. The community moderates content through various mechanisms (peer review, reputation scores etc.,) to ensure quality of content.

- Compose, edit, and play MIDI files. Has a graphical user interface with multiple instrument-specific views.
- Atom
- Atom is a text and source code editor based on Web technologies, specifically the Chromium project. Atom has a modular design that is integrated around a minimal core, which makes it very flexible and extensible. Atom is based on Electron (formerly known as Atom Shell), a framework that enables cross-platform desktop applications using Chromium and Node.js.⚠ Antifeature: Tracking comment
Atom will by default send “anonymous” usage data to Google Analytics (operating system, Atom version, screen resolution, …). To change this, go to Preferences, and "Core" settings. Change "Send Telemetry data to the Atom Team" to No (Do not send any telemetry data).
- Audacity
- Audacity is a cross-platform multitrack audio editor that lets you record sounds directly or import Ogg, WAV, AIFF, AU, IRCAM, or MP3 files. It features a few simple effects, all of the editing features you should need, and unlimited undo. The GUI is built with wxWidgets and the audio I/O currently uses PortAudio.
- Audio-Convert
- audio convert is a script that converts between WAV, Ogg, MP3, MPC, FLAC, APE, and WMA files. It has an easy-to-use interface that makes it possible to fill in the tags for a few formats and choose the quality of compression. The script was initially designed for the Nautilus file browser and can be easily installed into Nautilus by copying it to the nautilus-scripts directory. You can then right-click on files and choose "audio-convert" from the "scripts" menu. The script is also known to work on rox or directly from a shell.

- Blender-Pipeline
- Blender-Pipeline ( known also as Blender-Organizer and VCStudio ) is a program to organize Blender Animation Projects. In about 2016 for the "I'm Not Even Human" project, J.Y.Amihud wrote a small GTK application to organize the project a little bit. Every animation asset required a folder and sub-folders that were tedious to maintain manually. Later more functionality was added, such as checklists for every asset and shot in the movie. Making it possible to calculate the progress of the film and compare it against the deadline. By 2018 a decision was made to rewrite a big chunk of the program to include a script editor. At first the idea was to develop a custom scene selector that would work similarly to a video editor. With a timeline and strips representing scenes in the script. But later the design changed a bit making those scenes instead be Nodes on a 2D plane connected together in the sequence of the movie. The arrangement of which on the 2D plane could be decided by the user based on the user's preferences. With that version a short film "The Package, The Car & The Time Is Running Out" was made. And later in 2020 "Moria's Race" project was started. This version of the program was known as Blender-Organizer and was under the GNU GPL version 2. It is still available at: https://github.com/JYamihud/blender-organizer/ In 2020 python2 support officially dropped from a lot of GNU / Linux distributions. And due to syntax and other changes between python2 and python3, a decision was made to re-do the program from scratch. The new version was published under the GPU GPL version 3 or later. And was briefly called "VCStudio". Later to avoid confusion with a text editor from Microsoft a name was changed to "Blender-Pipeline". With this program "Moria's Race" was finished. At LibrePlanet 2024 J.Y.Amihud presented "Moria's Race" and Blender-Pipeline on a talk.
